There are many cake designs being created every day by talented and passionate artists and at Eden Cakes and Cupcakes I like to keep up to date with designs and what is "on trend".

So you have taken a lot of time designing your stationary and all other aspects of your wedding to ensure that your day is unique and true to who you are as a couple so why not incorporate those carefully thought out design aspects on your wedding cake.

At Eden Cakes and Cupcakes I work closely with award winning artist Dorothy Peall who brings her extraordinary talents to create one off signed artworks for your day.

These cakes are becoming very very popular and I have included some pictures of recent creations for my bridal couples.

If you wish to enquiry about a handpainted cake for your special day please call me or email me.

Eden Cakes and Cupcakes at Flaxton Gardens and Flaxton Grove

Flaxton Grove is a beautiful home offered by Flaxton Gardens for private use and for up to 16 guests.

Rechelle and her now husband planned a small intimate wedding and were married at Flaxton Gardens where guests enjoyed canapĂ©s and drinks.  They then wandered down to Flaxton Grove for the reception dinner.

Flaxton Gardens provided a chef and two waitresses to cater for the 3 course dinner which was held in the formal dining room at the Grove.  The dinner ended at 10.00pm when guests moved to the beautiful terrace which was decorated with lanterns and t-lights to dance the rest of the night away.    Just a beautifully intimate and romantic wedding.

The wedding cake of choice was a rich vanilla extended tier buttercake iced with rich vanilla Italian buttercream featuring handmade sugar floristry in shades of pink and white.

Laura and Kenny's beautiful wedding at Flaxton Gardens

Early March this year Laura and Kenny contacted me to arrange a cake design consultation who  were expecting around 100 guests and had chosen to  marry at the beautiful  Flaxton Gardens.

Laura and Kenny had a specific cake in mind which sat on  a particularly elegant cake stand and they were fortunate enough to find that exact stand for their day.

As they had chosen a selection of cupcakes to serve as dessert but also wanted a tiered cake for photos and the cake cutting ceremony I suggested they opt for a show cake.

I really enjoyed creating their show   cake and of course the 100 sugar hydrangeas which sat on top of their cupcakes.

Wishing you both all the very very best for your life together.

Shannon and Belinda's wedding at Maleny Manor

All weddings are very special but some stand out.

Organising a wedding is a process of establishing the kind of wedding and styling that reflects the couple and Belinda and Shannon had a very special style of wedding in mind.

Maleny Manor was their venue of choice and we had many emails, phone calls and finally a meeting to plan their very special wedding cake.

It was an absolute pleasure to create their cake and I really appreciated their email of thanks to me.

I wish you both the very best and look forward to keeping in contact and being part of your beautiful journey.

Hi Libby,

Shannon and I would like to say a very big thank you to you for making us such a stunning wedding cake.

It was absolutely lovely and made our day that little bit more special.

The amount of people that came up to me on the night and commented that it was the best wedding cake that they have tasted was remarkable.

It was a pleasure doing business with you from my first enquiry 2 years prior right up until when the cake was delivered.

We wish you all the very best for the future and hope our paths cross again

Craig and Peta's wedding at Secrets on the Lake - Montville

Congratulations to Craig and Peta.

Another very busy day in the Studio.  Not as early as start as yesterday though.

A few weeks ago I received an email from Craig who said that he and his fiancĂ© Peta were marrying at Secrets on the Lake.

Craig knew that he and Peta wanted cupcakes but not presented in the traditional way.  The cupcakes were to be their gift to their guests and needed to be very special.

We decided on beautiful vanilla buttercake cupcakes topped with vanilla buttercream.  The finishing touches were lovely fresh white rosebuds and cupcakes to sit in lace cupcake wraps.

Instead of cupcakes presented on a cupcake stand Craig and Peta opted for their cakes to be boxed and placed in a pyramid style formation ready for their guests to pick up and take with them.

I think it made for a very elegant display.

A Buttercream Spring

I was up early this morning.  Yes, 2.30am cooking 4 flavours of cupcakes for my bridal couple Natalie and Chris who married today at Weddings at Tiffanys.

Sticky date, vanilla, chocolate and red velvet were in the oven at the Design Studio while everyone else was sleeping.   Radio on and coffee brewed I worked away until all were baked.

Natalie and Chris were going to enjoy a lunch time wedding  cocktail reception and wanted a fun and light hearted cupcake presentation.

At our initial cake design consultation Natalie and Chris came prepared with a pic of the cupcake finish they wanted to have.

Each flavour cupcake was topped with a different colour buttercream piped into a flower formation.

Vanilla cupcakes - pale green chrysanthymum
Chocolate - Pale yellow carnation
Red Velvet - lavender hydrangea
Sticky date - pink rose
